Dream Creative Academy LTD is hereafter referred to as DCA Ltd
DCA Ltd is located at Unit 1, Block A, Riverpoint, Bishops Quay, Limerick
DCA uniform top to worn at all times while attending class, A black trousers and black shoes are required to be worn by students in class. A neat appearance is required at all times.
Students are asked to be in attendance 10-15 minutes before class start time
Smoking in or outside the college is prohibited.
Chewing Gum is not permitted inside the college
The use of Mobile phones is not allowed inside the classroom studio and must be switched to silent at all times within the college. (a tutor’s permission is necessary in order to leave the classroom to make/receive a call/text)
Recording devices are not permitted inside the classroom
Food & Drink are not allowed in the classroom (with the exception of water)
DCA Ltd is not responsible for any personal belongings of the students
Upon receipt of college uniform, Make-up kit/Brushes these become the property of the students and should be maintained always to a neat clean standard.
Students must bring their Make-up kit and Brush-set (as provided) to each class and are solely responsible for their safety and upkeep (students personal belongings can never be left behind in the college)
The student is required to keep the classroom studio clean & tidy at all times. The Student must tidy/clean its station and surrounding areas in the last 15 minutes of class.
All product is returned to the Class storage box at the end of each class in conjunction with the tutor who will sign back in all product. In the event of a discrepancy between the sign-out quantity of product etc and the sign-in quantity the Tutor/management reserve the right to question the student(s) and/or to search their personal belongings.
A student caught stealing will be disciplined and may be asked to leave the course, Full course cost is payable.
Periodic security checks may be carried out at any time; this also applies to staff
It is the sole responsibility of each student to provide live models for the photo-shoots, they must be over 18 and suitably prepared and willing to have all treatments performed.
Students are required to model for practical classes. Any student who cannot do so must make their Tutor aware of this in the first class
Case studies where applicable must be presented no later than the final date as set by the class Tutor.
Examination dates where applicable will be communicated to the students by the tutor at the tutor’s discretion.
All Photography used in relation to the Course, the college, Practical hand-ups & Photo-shoots taken by the student, Staff/management & Photographers becomes the property of DCA Ltd and can be used/sold by the DCA Ltd without restriction.
Students to be punctual for all classes. DCA Ltd reserve the right to dismiss a student from the course where it feels that a student’s constant lateness/absenteeism is affecting their and the rest of the classes learning. This decision is at the sole discretion of management.
In the event where a student is absent for two consecutive days, a doctor’s cert must be provided.
All students must obtain a 90% attendance rate within each course subject in order to proceed with examination/practical hand-ups, Where DCA Ltd maintain that attendance has fallen below 90%, the student may be required to attend private tuition to fulfil the guided learning hours required by the accrediting bodies. This may lead to an extra cost to the student (to be agreed between the student and tutor directly) In the event where a student is unable to increase their student hours to cover the Module satisfactorily, DCA Ltd reserve the right to dismiss the student from the course.
All deposits are non-refundable
In the event of a student not finishing the course for any reason, they will forfeit fees paid and any remaining fees are still payable. Refunds are not payable under any circumstances.
In the event that a new course date is not acceptable to a student, Monies paid can be transferred to another course date, transferred to another approved person (within the same enrolment period) or transferred to a different course.
DCA Ltd may cancel the tuition of a student who is behind in the payment of fees.
Students who have enrolled in a course and decide at any stage not to continue the course for any reason are liable for the full cost of the course.
DCA Ltd Management reserve the right to change dates and times of courses at its discretion
The Name Dream Creative Academy may not be used by a student for any form of advertising unless permission is received by management
DCA Ltd is not responsible for any allergic reaction to products used. A student can request a 48hr. “patch test” to be carried out at the discretion of the student.
Dream Creative Academy will close on Public Holidays.
ITEC Exam/Registration fees are payable by the student.
Make-up insurance is mandatory and is payable by each student directly to insurance company, DCA will advise on contact details of insurer.
Photo-shoot hours may be longer than specified… ie A student may be required to start earlier (only applicable to evening courses)
